Marketplace Seller Standards
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy, legality and fulfilment of their own Marketplace listings.
Policy version 2026-10-06.1 · MotorCircle MarketplaceThe MotorCircle Trade Store is separate and uses its own sales/returns terms. These pages relate to third-party Marketplace transactions.
Accurate identity
Sellers must provide MotorCircle with accurate private identity and billing details and must correctly identify whether they are selling privately or in the course of business. MotorCircle may request additional verification.
Accurate listings
Titles, descriptions, condition, photographs, quantity, price, location, postage and dispatch information must fairly describe the actual item offered. Material faults, damage, missing parts or limitations must be disclosed.
Stock, fulfilment and communication
Do not advertise items you do not reasonably expect to supply. Fixed-price listings normally remain live until sold, withdrawn, stock reaches zero or MotorCircle removes them. Private sellers can be asked periodically to confirm older stock is still available; an unanswered stock check can temporarily hide the listing rather than delete it. Business sellers, active Shops and inventory-synchronised listings are not routinely hidden merely because of age. Sellers must dispatch within the stated handling period and communicate promptly with the buyer through MotorCircle Messages. Do not solicit direct payment, external payment links or contact-channel switching in order to avoid Marketplace fees or protection controls.
Tracking and collection
Where tracked delivery is offered, sellers should provide valid courier and tracking details. Collection transactions may use a MotorCircle collection code or other platform confirmation before release.
Cases and cooperation
Sellers must respond to genuine Marketplace cases and provide relevant evidence when requested. Attempting to move a transaction outside MotorCircle in order to avoid fees or buyer-protection controls may result in restrictions.
These are MotorCircle platform rules and process descriptions, not a substitute for legal advice. Applicable statutory rights and legal obligations take priority where they cannot lawfully be excluded or reduced.
