Seller Shipping, Returns & Order Policies

Sellers control the practical way they dispatch, deliver, accept returns and handle collection, while MotorCircle keeps the process clear for buyers.

Marketplace-specific policy

The MotorCircle Trade Store is separate and uses its own sales/returns terms. These pages relate to third-party Marketplace transactions.

Simple seller controls

Each seller provides a short dispatch/shipping policy, returns policy, return-postage policy and cancellation policy. Collection and additional warranty information can also be supplied where relevant. These are shown to the buyer before payment and a transaction snapshot is retained with the order.

Private sellers

Private sellers can set their own change-of-mind returns approach, subject to the item being accurately described and any rights or remedies that apply. MotorCircle Buyer Protection and the Resolution Centre still apply to eligible non-delivery, misdescription, damage or other transaction problems.

Business and sole-trader sellers

A seller acting as a trader cannot use a shop policy to remove consumer rights that the law says cannot be excluded. Seller policies can be more generous than the legal minimum, but not less. MotorCircle therefore treats statutory rights as overriding any conflicting seller wording.

Return address

MotorCircle keeps a return address privately for each seller so an approved return can be completed without publishing a private seller’s home address on the public listing. Business contact information that must legally be given to a consumer is shown at the appropriate pre-contract stage.
